How Hourly Hire Works
Tell us where the car should meet you, when the day starts and roughly how long you need it. We come back to you with a rate for the block, by phone or email, and once you agree it the car and driver are yours for that time. Stops, waiting and a change of plan along the way are all part of the booking.
When It Beats Booking Separate Trips
A normal cab is the right answer for getting from one place to another. When the day has four or five stops and plenty of waiting in between, booking by the hour is usually simpler: one booking, one driver who knows the plan, and no standing on a footpath waiting for the next car.
- Meetings and site visits across the city
- Weddings, events and functions with several stops
- A day out in the Yarra Valley or on the Mornington Peninsula
- Shopping, appointments or visiting family with the car waiting outside
Which Car to Choose
A sedan suits up to four people. An SUV or wagon gives you a bigger boot for luggage, shopping or equipment. A maxi cab seats up to 11, which keeps a group together in one car all day. Silver service stays on the meter like any other trip in that car, so it is booked as a normal trip rather than by the hour.
