Transport to Your Treatment Appointments
Most people using this service are making the same journey week after week through a course of treatment. The point of it is that the trip stops being something you have to think about while you recover.
We cover medical appointments, rehabilitation sessions, specialist visits, hospital admissions and discharges, and airport transfers where the travel forms part of an approved claim.
What TAC Covers Is Decided by TAC
The Transport Accident Commission is the Victorian scheme covering people injured in a transport accident in this state. Where TAC has accepted your claim and agreed that travel to treatment is reasonable and related to your injury, the cost of getting to and from appointments can be covered.
That approval is between you, your treating practitioner and your claim manager. If you are not sure whether your travel has been approved yet, your claim manager is the quickest person to ask.
Booking a TAC Taxi
