What This Site Collects

Only what you type into a form. For a booking that is your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the pickup and drop off addresses, the time, the vehicle and any notes you add for the driver. For the contact form it is your name, your message, and whichever of email or phone you supply.

If you use the locate button, your device sends its coordinates so the pickup address can be filled in. That happens only when you press it, and the coordinates are used to look up the address and price the trip.

Why We Hold It

To dispatch the car, to contact you about the booking, and to keep a record of the trip. That is the whole purpose. Booking details are stored on this website so the office can retrieve a job even if email fails.

Who Else Sees It

The driver assigned to your trip receives what they need to complete it, which is the addresses, the time, your name and phone number, and any notes. Addresses typed into the estimator are sent to Google Maps services to be turned into coordinates and distances. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing.

How Long We Keep It

Booking and enquiry records are kept while they are needed for the service and for normal business records, then removed. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Access and Correction

Email info@silvercabsmelbourne.com.au to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. This policy is written to meet the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.
